Building a new home can simultaneously be one of the most exciting and daunting experiences a person can go through. Before you get started, it is important to understand all the planning that is required – long before shovels break ground.

STEP # 1

CREATE A BUDGET

For most homeowners, the budget will be the biggest factor to determine the scope of the build. As you work with your insurance company to determine the replacement cost value of your home, we can help provide initial rebuild costs based on current market conditions.

STEP # 2

select a team

Finding an experienced team of architects, consultants (e.g., engineers, designers, etc.) and ultimately your builder who can all work collaboratively is critical. Traditionally, architects will orchestrate and coordinate allĀ  consultant services to finalize a set of plans that are ready for review and approval.

STEP # 3

obtain a permit

Once all the information has been gathered and finalized amongst the team, the plans will be submitted to the city / county to obtain a building permit. Any updates that are mandated by the local jurisdiction will be made by the architect and design team. See our list of Our Services.
